How do I start a portrait?

Simple choose your portrait style and order on the website.

You’ll be asked to upload photos and tell us about your pet's personality, habits and anything you never want forgotten. The more you share, the more the portrait feels like them.

What photos should I send?

Clear, well-lit photos are ideal, but don’t worry, they don’t have to be professional.

Send a few angles if you can and definitely include any photo that makes you think that’s exactly them. Even slightly blurry favourites can be helpful if they capture personality.

If you’re unsure, send more rather than less. We love seeing them.

How long does it take?

Most portraits are completed within 5–7 business days.

Each one is created individually and with care. We don’t rush the details - your pet deserves the time it takes to get them right. If anything changes, we’ll always let you know.

Do you do memorial portraits?

Yes, and they’re something we approach with love.

Many people come to Chev & Co. to create keepsakes for pets they’ve lost. We understand how important these portraits can be, and we treat them with a lot of care and respect.

If you’d like words to sit beside the portrait, the written love letter add-on can be a beautiful way to hold onto memories too.

Can I ask for changes?

Of course.

You’ll see a preview before final delivery, and small tweaks are always welcome. We want you to look at the finished portrait and feel that yes, that’s them feeling.

What do I get?

You’ll receive a high-resolution digital file of your portrait.

This gives you the freedom to print and frame it however you like. Many people enjoy choosing their own paper and frames locally, so the portrait fits perfectly into their space.

Do you ship framed prints?

Right now we focus on digital delivery.

It keeps turnaround times quick and makes it easy for people anywhere in the world to order. If you’d like suggestions for printing, we’re always happy to share what’s worked well for others.

Can I order if I live outside of Australia?

Absolutely.

We’re based in Australia, but we work with pet owners all over the world. Because portraits are delivered digitally, distance isn’t a problem - your pet can travel very well by email.

What's the written love letter add on?

It’s a short, personalised piece of writing that sits beside your portrait.

You share memories and little stories about your pet. Hayley shapes them into words that capture personality and feeling - something recognisable you can keep alongside the portrait.

It’s often chosen for memorial pieces, but it’s just as lovely for celebration portraits too.

What pets do you specialise in?

All of them.

Dogs and cats are the most common, but we’re always happy to create any animal that’s part of your life. If they matter to you, they matter to us.

Can I include more than one pet?

Yes, you’ll see options for multiple pets when you begin your order.

Some of our favourite portraits include siblings and lifelong companions.

What if I have a special request?

Every portrait starts with your stories about your pet. Accessories, poses, favourite toys - if it matters to you, we’ll do our best to include it.

What's your refund policy?

Because every portrait is custom-made, refunds work a little differently than they do for standard products.

If you change your mind before we begin your portrait, we’re happy to offer a refund.

Once work has started, refunds aren’t usually possible - but we’ll always work with you to make sure you love your portrait. You’ll see a preview before final delivery, and small adjustments are part of the process.
